Sheriff Thanksgiving 2011

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Sheriff gang this past Saturday (Nov. 26th). Bryn was spoiled by being held ALL DAY and Emry loved playing with her cousins. We love hangin' with the Sheriffs...always fun!

MN Thanksgiving 2011

We were blessed to see both our families this Thanksgiving which made for a lot of traveling/packing but the girls did great! Here are some pics of our time in Minnesota with the Holter and Broz families.

1 Month!

So hard to believe our baby is already 1 month old today! She's such a sweet girl...we feel so blessed! Currently she:
~ eats every 2 1/2-3 hours during the day
~ eats every 3-4 1/2 hrs during the night, so I'm getting up to nurse 2-3 times
~ is more alert for periods of 1-2 hrs right after she nurses
~ is able to track my face when I move it slowly side to side
~ tolerates tummy time fairly well
~ spits up after every feeding and usually gets the hiccups soon after
~ receives many kisses from her big sister
~ is still in newborn diapers and wears 0-3 month clothes with the exception of a few newborn outfits
~ usually protests at the beginning of her naps but eventually falls asleep

2 Week Well Check

Bryn is 2 weeks old today! My camera is dead and I can't find my battery charger so I will add pictures later on. We had her 2 week well check yesterday and everything checked out great! She's back up to her birth weight plus .5 oz. Her height is 21 in., head circumference is 14, and her weight was 6 lbs. 13.5 oz. Of course I left the percentile sheet at the pediatrician's office...ugh! Overall, she's pretty petite. Her cord stump is still hanging on by a thread and I pray that it falls off anytime so we can give her a real bath and start tummy time. Now that she's back up to birth weight, I don't have to wake her during the night. Unfortunately, she's not ready to go longer than 3 hours between feedings but hopefully she'll be able to soon. She nurses every 2 1/2- 3 hrs during the day. Her wake time is a tiny bit longer and more frequent. Emry just loves her to pieces and is eager to help with anything she can. It's so sweet and we can't wait to see them interact when Bryn is able to do a little more.
