Fun at the Zoo

We made a trip to the KC Zoo today with some friends to start off our summer together. Emry loved the animals and Bryn enjoyed the ride and even snoozed for a bit. We hope to come back soon!

Memorial Weekend 2012

Our friends the Morrisons graciously invited us to their lake home in the Ozarks this weekend. This is the third summer Emry has been there and Bryn's first. Emry LOVED floating in the water and going on the Jet ski. She also had 6 other kids to play with, so there was excitement all around. We all slept in the same room and the girls did surprisingly well napping and sleeping together.

We had a family car wash tonight and Emry was happy to hose down the cars. Check out her expert skills.

7 Months!

I know I say this every month BUT I cannot believe Bryn is already 7 months! Someone must have hit the "fast forward" button on our life because the last month has been a blur. As always, we love-love being witnesses to her growth and learning. Here is what she's up to these days:

~ Nurses 5-6 times per day
~ eats oatmeal cereatl 2-3 times (and fights it the entire time)
~ has tried green beans and sweet peas (dislikes both)
~ Sits independently
~ babbles, squawks, and shrieks
~ sleeps on her belly
~ naps in her crib (she rejected the swing a few weeks ago)
~ does not prefer drinking from a bottle
~ belly laughs when Emry jumps in front of her
~ LOVES her big sister
~ grabs for EVERYTHING
~ wears size 3 diapers
~ 6-9 month clothes
~ is a mamma's girl (daddy is jealous)
~ tries to give hugs
~ is the sweetest thing

We love you madly Bryn! Can't wait to see what this month has in store for you.
