Steve and I had the same spring break this year so we decided to spend the first half visiting my family in MN. The 6+ hour drive had it's interesting moments with a 2 yr and 5 month old, but all in all went pretty well. We had a blast doing nothing in particular. I love how smitten my parents/step-parents are with the girls. Too cute!
Ride on the John Deere with Grandpa Jeff.
Snuggles with Grandma Kathy.
Breakfast with Grandpa Ted.
Dessert with Manny.
Grandpa Ted love.

5 Months
Sweet Bryn is 5 months already! She changes on a daily basis, we love being witnesses to her growth. We feel so blessed to be this precious angel's parents. Our love for her is infinite. Here is what she's up to these days:
- nurses 5-6 times a day (depending on what time she wakes in the morning)
- wakes up sometime between 5-6am to nurse then goes back to sleep until 8:00 or 8:30
- goes to bed between 8-9
- wears size 2 diapers
- wears 6-9 month clothes
- always rolls out of tummy time
- is getting close to rolling from back to tummy (can get onto her side)
- tolerates her exersaucer better
- babbles and squawks
- likes being tickled
- naps in the swing
- takes 3 naps (morning, afternoon, and early evening)
- loves it when Emry talks to her
- getting stronger each day
- still has blowouts (excited to start rice cereal soon to troubleshoot this problem)

Such A Big Girl!
At almost 5 months, Bryn has graduated from the hammock in the baby tub to sitting IN it. Okay, she doesn't really sit, rather leans in it but it's still a big deal in our book. She's so stinkin' cute...we can't stand it!
We'll Miss You
Since our family has expanded, Rosie was not receiving the love and attention she deserves. So, we decided it was time to find a family who could give her just that, and hopefully more. Luckily, an amazing family responded to our post on Craigslist around 8:45am on March 3rd. We called them minutes later, and in about 3 hours they came to our home and adopted Rosie.
They had two cats and the older one(who was 15 yrs old) recently passed away from cancer. Their 3 year old cat was lonely and they were searching for a family/animal friendly cat. The mom was a vet tech for years and also worked at the San Diego Zoo at one point. They have three boys who she homeschools and they live on a horse ranch. It was evident that they are animal lovers and we couldn't have asked for a better family to take our sweet Rosie.
The family has updated us twice since they brought her home and as of now, she has acclimated to the family and her new surroundings. She's not so sure about her new sister Tari. They say the love is one sided right now but I think Rosie will warm up to her soon enough. They say Rosie sleeps with them every night and enjoys looking out the window at the birds and squirrels during the day.
We're so thankful she has a feline friend again. She was much more active when Sam was still around. Hopefully she'll do the same with Tari.
Our farewell to Rosie was hard and tearful but we know she'll be much happier with her new family. We miss her dearly but appreciate their updates and open communication with us. Sort of like an open adoption!
