4 Months

Our baby girl is 4 months. She is such a happy, sweet, laid-back baby (for the most part). We feel so blessed God brought her into our lives. She's doing much of the same as she was at 3 months with a few new tricks:
~ Consistently rolls out of tummy-time so I think it's a learned skill and not just a fluke anymore
~ Giggles and loves it when I sing "London Bridges" while bouncing her on my knee
~ Using the exersaucer
~ Transitioning to 6 month clothes
~ Size 2 diapers

She also had her well check and here are her stats:
~ Weight: 13 lbs. 2 oz. (40th percentile)
~ Height: 24 3/4 in. (60th percentile)
~ Head circumference: 16 in. (50th percentile)

Weekend with Grandparents

This weekend, the girls and I headed north to West Des Moines to spend the weekend at Steve's parent's because we had some work done to fix a terrible crunch in our floor upstairs. My mom and Ted made the trip from Minnesota and stayed with us at Keith and Linda's. To say the least, the girls were the center of attention the entire weekend, surrounded by grandparent love. Thanks again to my amazing in-laws for being so welcoming and hospitable.

Getting berries ready with Grandma Linda.
Walking to the neighborhood park in FEBRUARY! Who would have thought?
Loves swinging.
Reading with Grandpa Keith.

"Balentimes"

The girls had fun at their first Valentine's party with some of their best buds today. Emry got to make a cute V-day box, pass out her Valentine's saying "happy Balentimes", and play pin the heart on the cupid. Watching kids ages 4 yrs-3 months at a Valentine's party is adorable. Thanks to Angela for organzing it!

Trying to sneak a chocolate.

Gymnastics

Emry had her first gymnastics experience tonight in the Mini Moons class. She didn't do too hot, as expected...hard time listening, throwing mini-fits, running away from the group and over to the big-kid equipment. The instructor and many of my friends who have gone through this before, say this is very typical and she'll get better with time. Steve and I have yet to decide if we'll wait until she's older or attempt it again next week. Even though she was a bit of a pill, it was cute to watch her do the stations. (I realize she's wearing the same outfit as the last post...it was the best "gymnastics" outfit she has).
